How to Build Your Own Poker Table

Building a poker table is much easier than you think. Here are a few of my favorite sites on how to build a homemade table. They all include detailed instructions on how to make a professional looking table. Some of these tables have rails and some have cup holders. Some tables are covered with cloth or felt, while others use suede or velvet. Most of these tables use one or more 4’x 8’ sheets of plywood to construct, and commonl

  • Jigsaw – Main tool to shape the ply wood
  • Drill – Pilot hole for jigsaw blade
  • Orbital Sander or Sandpaper – For correcting the jigsaw handling inadequacy
  • Staple Gun – To staple the vinyl onto the plywood
  • Friend – To help stretch and staple the vinyl evenly

    Poker.com's "Oval with Track" TableLearn to build a casino oval style table with a track. Another nice site with great instructions and nice pictures.

    Nova Poker's "Oval with Track and Cupholder" TableLearn to build a casino style table with a track AND cupholder's. A very intricate and professional look.

    Side Pot's "Round" TableSide Pot's detailed instructions of how to build a round table, rather than an oval style shaped poker table. Nice pictures and instructions; definitely worth a look.
